Trump's documented statements degrading and objectifying women
Synthesis
A running, sourced collection of things Donald Trump has said, on tape or under oath, that objectify, demean or sexualize women, from 2004 radio appearances and the 2005 Access Hollywood tape through his 2022 deposition and insults aimed at women reporters in November 2025. Each entry is a quote with a date and source; a jury found him liable for sexual abuse and defamation of E. Jean Carroll, and he denies all allegations of assault.
On tape (2004–2005)
2004, Howard Stern Show, about 18-year-old actress Lindsay Lohan: "She's probably deeply troubled and therefore great in bed. How come the deeply troubled women... they're always the best in bed?"
2005, Howard Stern Show, on walking into pageant dressing rooms he owned: "I sort of get away with things like that." Former contestants including Miss Arizona 2001 Tasha Dixon, Miss New Hampshire 2000 Bridget Sullivan and Miss Vermont Teen USA 1997 Mariah Billado later said he entered while contestants were changing; some 1997 Miss Teen USA contestants disputed the claims.
2005, Access Hollywood recording (made public Oct. 7, 2016): "I just start kissing them. It's like a magnet. Just kiss. I don't even wait." and "When you're a star they let you do it. You can do anything." He then describes grabbing women by the genitals, using a vulgar term.
Under oath: E. Jean Carroll deposition (Oct. 2022)
Trump testified: "She said it was very sexy to be raped. Didn't she say that?" Asked by Carroll's lawyer Roberta Kaplan to confirm it was his testimony that Carroll said she loved being sexually assaulted, he answered: "Well, based on her interview with Anderson Cooper, I believe that's what took place."
What Carroll actually said on CNN in June 2019, when Cooper pressed her on avoiding the word "rape," was: "I think most people think of rape as being sexy. Think of the fantasies." She was describing how people think of rape, not saying she enjoyed what happened to her.
Asked about the Access Hollywood remark that stars can grab women, he answered: "Well, historically, that's true with stars," and when asked if he considered himself a star, "I think you can say that. Yeah."
In the same deposition he said of another accuser, Jessica Leeds, "She would not be my first choice that I can touch," and told Carroll's lawyer, "You wouldn't be a choice of mine either, to be honest with you."
Court outcome (status as of Oct. 2026)
A 2023 jury verdict of $5 million for Carroll is now final: the Supreme Court denied certiorari on June 30, 2026, in an unexplained order with no written dissent.
A separate $83.3 million defamation award, upheld by the Second Circuit in September 2025, is the subject of a pending Supreme Court petition by Trump.
As president: women reporters (Nov. 2025)
Aboard Air Force One in November 2025, as Bloomberg's Catherine Lucey asked about the Epstein files, Trump said: "Quiet. Quiet, piggy." A White House official said Lucey had behaved unprofessionally toward colleagues but offered no specifics.
On Nov. 26, 2025, on Truth Social, Trump wrote of New York Times reporter Katie Rogers: "The writer of the story, Katie Rogers, who is assigned to write only bad things about me, is a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out."
Rivals and journalists (2015)
Aug. 7–8, 2015, CNN interview with Don Lemon, about Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly after the Aug. 6 debate: "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever." He later said he meant her nose.
Sept. 10, 2015, Rolling Stone, about rival candidate Carly Fiorina: "Look at that face. Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?"
In his own tweets (2012–2018)
Oct. 28, 2012, about singer Bette Midler: "@BetteMidler talks about my hair but I'm not allowed to talk about her ugly face or body --- so I won't. Is this a double standard?"
Apr. 20, 2014, about publisher Arianna Huffington: "Arianna Huffington is ugly both inside and out!"
Jan. 27, 2016, about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly: "I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct. Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"
June 29, 2017, as president, about MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski: "low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came... to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year's Eve, and insisted on joining me. She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!"
Oct. 16, 2018, as president, about Stormy Daniels: "now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas... She knows nothing about me, a total con!"
In his own Truth Social posts (2025–2026)
Dec. 8, 2025, about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after she broke with him: "The only reason Marjorie 'Traitor' Brown (Green turns Brown under stress!) went BAD is that she was JILTED by the President of the United States (Certainly not the first time she has been jilted!)."
Feb. 25, 2026, about Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib after the State of the Union: "they had the bulging, bloodshot eyes of crazy people, LUNATICS, mentally deranged and sick who, frankly, look like they should be institutionalized," adding that "we should send them back from where they came."
Apr. 16, 2026, about Fox News analyst Jessica Tarlov: "one of the Least Attractive and Talented People on all of Television... Her voice is so grating and terrible, I had to 'turn her off!'... GET HER OFF THE AIR."
Repeated phrasing (computed by the site from the public archives)
The insult "ugly... both inside and out" recurs across twelve years in his own posts: Arianna Huffington (Twitter, Apr. 20, 2014) and Katie Rogers (Truth Social, Nov. 26, 2025), with a variant, "unattractive person, both inside and out," about George Conway on June 24, 2026. This is the site's own search of the archives, not a news report; see the hub entry for method and further counts.
At a rally (Oct. 3, 2026)
At an Ohio rally on Oct. 3, 2026, right after saying "I know more about inflation, I know more about everything than anybody in this room, anybody anywhere in the world," Trump pointed to a woman in the audience: "there's a woman sitting right over there that she's a housewife, but she's very good, she's got a natural instinct for business. She perhaps knows more than I do, but I actually don't think so." Quotes are from a transcript of the video; the venue (Vandalia) comes from social-media clips and is not stated in the transcript.
Perspectives
Defender — Donald Trump and his campaign (2016); Trump's legal team
Trump's stated explanation, as he gave it: the Access Hollywood remarks were private "locker room talk" that he apologized for; he denies ever assaulting anyone; he calls the Carroll case a politically motivated hoax and is appealing; and he says Carroll's own CNN interview is what he was reacting to. Editor's note: there is no defense for this behavior. This entry records his explanations as his own statements only.
Critic — Press-freedom and women-journalist groups (e.g., IWMF)
Gendered insults aimed at reporters who ask about Epstein are an attempt to silence and demean women in the press, and the pattern has real effects on how women journalists are treated.
Editorial read — The Author (site author), thesis
The author's thesis: there is no real defense for these statements. The explanations above ("locker room talk," "hoax," "reacting to Carroll's interview") are recorded because Trump and his allies gave them, not because they hold up against the quotes, the deposition or the jury verdict. In the author's view, people who defend this behavior are pandering to Trump.
