Allegations against Trump in the Epstein files, and the White House and DOJ responses (Dec. 2025-Feb. 2026) Case DOJ's Epstein releases include an FBI-compiled list of sexual assault allegations related to Trump, mostly from unverified tips, plus other tips and FBI interview records referring to him. DOJ and the White House say the claims are 'untrue and sensationalist' and 'unfounded and false,' and CNN reports law enforcement has never accused Trump of wrongdoing related to Epstein. In February 2026 Democrats alleged DOJ withheld interview records about a woman who accused Trump of assaulting her as a minor, and DOJ said nothing was deleted. None of the allegations has been proven. What the released files contain (as reported) FBI officials in New York compiled a list of sexual assault allegations related to Trump in August 2025 that was included in DOJ's Jan. 30, 2026 release; it has more than a dozen entries, many appearing to come from unverified tips to the FBI's tip line, some secondhand, often with no contact made with the person who submitted them. CNN says it is unclear why the list was created. Some of the listed allegations were followed up: one was sent to the FBI's Washington field office for an interview, and another was deemed not credible. A December 2025 tranche included a limousine driver reportedly overhearing Trump discussing a man named Jeffrey 'abusing' a girl, and an alleged victim accusing Trump and Epstein of rape; it is unclear whether the FBI followed up, and nothing in that release indicates Trump was suspected of wrongdoing or investigated. An FBI form in the January release details a complaint from a woman who said Trump raped her when she was 13; CNN reports she had previously sued Trump and dropped the suits, and that Trump had previously denied her allegations. A mid-2021 FBI memo says a victim told investigators Ghislaine Maxwell introduced her to Trump at a party and suggested she was 'available'; the victim said nothing happened between her and Trump. The dispute over unpublished interview records (Feb. 2026) A Feb. 26, 2026 CNN analysis, citing reporting by NPR and journalist Roger Sollenberger, said the government had not published dozens of FBI witness interviews, three of them relating to a woman who accused Trump of sexually assaulting her decades ago when she was a minor. In a letter to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Reps. Ted Lieu and Dan Goldman said Attorney General Pam Bondi committed perjury at a Feb. 11, 2026 House Judiciary hearing when she said, 'There is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime,' citing a 21-page internal DOJ slideshow summarizing witness testimony and asking for a special counsel. DOJ said nothing had been deleted, that files briefly pulled for victim redactions were restored, and that all responsive documents had been produced except duplicates, privileged material or items tied to an ongoing federal investigation; it called Lieu's accusations 'baseless' and said they had 'ZERO credibility.' The White House denied any wrongdoing by Trump. Denials and status On Dec. 23, 2025, DOJ said some documents contain 'untrue and sensationalist claims' about Trump submitted shortly before the 2020 election, and that 'the claims are unfounded and false.' After the January release, the White House referred CNN to a DOJ statement that the files 'may include fake or falsely submitted images, documents or videos'; Trump has denied any wrongdoing related to Epstein. In February 2026 the White House called the allegations against Trump 'false and sensationalist.' CNN reports that law enforcement has never accused Trump of wrongdoing related to Epstein. Research notes Handle with care: these are allegations and tips, not findings; keep attribution in every point. Some tips contain further lurid, uncorroborated details that are not reproduced here. Open leads: (1) Replace the Yahoo-syndicated CNN copies with primary documents from DOJ's Epstein library (justice.gov/epstein); the August 2025 FBI list and the 2019 interview records are in it. (2) The Feb. 13, 2026 Yahoo piece on Lieu asking DOJ to interview an FBI tip-line caller could not be read (rate limit) and is not used. (3) Read Bondi's Feb. 11, 2026 House Judiciary testimony transcript for her exact words. (4) The court fight over the 37 pages of FBI notes is covered in the published DOJ/FBI handling entry; do not duplicate it here. (5) Get the White House's statement on Lieu's Feb. 3 remarks. (6) The woman's identity is not given in the sources reviewed; do not add it without a strong editorial reason. Note Trump, the White House and DOJ deny the allegations and call them false; the allegations are unverified, and whether DOJ improperly withheld related interview records is contested and is being litigated.
